Travelling away, Brentwood showed true grit in the face of defeat to claw themselves back from the jaws of defeat with an equaliser scored after the final whistle of Saturday's match.

The first 15 minutes of the game were an even affair but as Wisbech settled, their grip on the game began to show.

The first short corner of the game produced the first of two penalties for the home side when a rebounded shot was flicked by an oncoming attacker.

Although heading goalwards, the ball was stopped by Adrian Waldock's leg and the penalty was pushed home.

Good play by James Duggan and Ollie Dent up front helped to hold the ball up for the tireless Simon Wagstaff to maintain possession in the midfield.

Wisbech then won their second penalty when Jamie Agate could only stop a shot with his foot. This time Paul Johnson pulled out a great save to keep his side of the match.

The second half followed in much the same way as the first with the home side scoring their second goal but this time with a fine passing move which sliced through the Brentwood defence.

As the final whistle loomed, it appeared as though a defeat was on the cards for the visitors until Nick Hull popped up with eight minutes remaining to pull a goal back.

Now attacking in numbers, Brentwood were always prone to attack on the break and the game could have been lost for a superb tackle outside his 'D' by Man of the Match, goalkeeper, Paul Johnson.

Brentwood were presented with their first short corner of the match only seconds before the final whistle.

With all ten players around the 'D', Adrian Waldock's shot was parried by the keeper and the ball fell kindly to defender, Rik Agate.

He calmly controlled the ball and despite pressure from two defenders, flicked the ball into the goal to claim a draw for his ecstatic team-mates.
