Harold Wood won again on Saturday to make it 10 wins on the trot and to go joint top of the league again.

It took Wood just 10 minutes to take the lead, with the returning wide man Craig Thomas getting on the end of a lovely through ball from Tony Field.

He side-stepped the goalkeeper and slotted the ball home from close range.

This gave Kelvedon a wake up call and after 15 minutes of pressure they forced an equaliser from a free kick.

It caused Wood defender Mark Brett a problem and he mis-kicked into his own net.

Harold Wood eventually regained the lead.

Thomas turned supplier and put in a perfect cross for Del Francois to out jump Hatch's goalkeeper and nod home to make it 2-1.

The second half was five minutes old when Wood increased their lead again through Craig Thomas.

Substitute Scott Atkinson crossed and Thomas arrived just in front of the goalkeeper to toe in and make it 3-1.

Harold Wood were now in total control and playing some of their best football of the season.

It was no surprise when they made it 4-1 when Francois got his second goal from close range after getting on the end of a Lee Parish header.

The game seemed to be over from there on in and Wood made a couple of changes, which Kelvedon took advantage of.

On the 75th minute they pulled a goal back through Horton, this made Wood a little jittery.

Then with 75 minutes remaining Hatch were awarded a dubious penalty that they did not even appeal for, when Wood's keeper Mark Baker collided with Lee Page.

The resulting penalty was taken well by Ridley to make it 4-3 and set up a tense final 10 minutes.
