A woman was threatened with a knife in her own home after she discovered two men who had broken in.
The thieves got into the house in Stifford Clays Road, Grays, through a kitchen window on Monday evening.
The resident confronted them, whereupon she was threatened, and the two men escaped with two mobile phones. They drove off in a blue Ford Orion.
