A school has been given a £1,000 boost thanks to a group of workers who took part in a charity cycle ride.
The group from Cargill's milling plant in Tilbury Docks took part in the annual London to Brighton cycle ride. They raised £400 for Cargill's adopted school, Treetops Special School in Dell Road, Grays.
When Cargill heard about their efforts the company made a further donation of £600. Now a cheque for £1,000 has been presented to the school.
Keith Pickering and Simon Powell from Cargill went along to a special assembly at Treetops and handed over cheques to Louise Godward and Michael Wingrove.
