A battery operated toy is believed to have been the cause of a fire in a house in Basildon.
Fire crews were called to the house in Whitmore Way after a woman went home to find a corner of her living room on fire.
The house was smoke-logged but the flames did not spread from the lounge. No-one was hurt in the incident.
