The cross-country runners from Thundersley's SEEVIC set the pace at the qualifying rounds for the British College finals.

On a wet and muddy course at Kings Lynn, the SEEVIC men's team qualified in style by winning the regional event.

Jon Weaver was the individual winner with a host of SEEVIC colleagues close behind including Darren Fletcher, Craig Sterling, Chris Butterworth, James Gahagan and James Davis.

In the ladies event, Hayley Mottram finished fourth individually with Toni Watson sixth to ensure joining the men in the national finals, to be staged in Swansea in the New Year.

SEEVIC made a splash in the English Schools Regional swim event at Cambridge with the men and ladies finishing second in the 4x50 medley relays.
