Exciting plans are being unveiled to mark the Queen's Jubilee in a most majestic manner in Brentwood.
Brentwood Borough Council and town centre bosses are working hard behind the scenes on preparations for a series of glittering events.
The historic occasion is set to be commemorated over the first weekend in June. Residents are expected to enter into the spirit of the celebrations by throwing community street parties.
At a recent meeting Brentwood Council's policy board was asked to consider designating the town's five major community events taking place throughout the year as Golden Jubilee occasions.
Thousands of residents and visitors are attracted to the annual shows which include The Strawberry Fair, The Day With Dogs, The Town Centre Race, The Firework Spectacular and the Lighting Up Brentwood event.
Brentwood Council chief executive Bob McLintock said beforehand: "We are talking about providing a co-ordinated approach for Brentwood like we did for the millennium."
There will a borough-wide fund raising project to help the Citizens Advice Bureau in Crown Street, Brentwood, expand into neighbouring premises.
Also in the Brentwood programme is a Jubilee family fun day, a summer ball and a concert and cabaret evening.
