Two second-half goals from Graham Barrett secured three points for Colchester United against the bottom side in the division.
Yesterday's match gave the U's a fright, however, with the home side taking the lead on 36 minutes through Richard Hope. Only an own goal from Ian Sampson on the stroke of half-time saw the U's regain parity.
The second half was a different matter, however, and Barrett's brace was enough for Colchester to claim the win despite an 80th-minute consolation from Jamie Forrester.
