A massive cheque for £30,000 has been presented by the trustees of Hutton and Shenfield Round Table Holiday Home to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
To make the occasion even more special, charity director, Sir Paul Nurse said a merger with Cancer Research Campaign had taken place and now the charity would be known as Cancer Research UK.
The trustees have been distributing cash to various charities with the money raised from the sale of the former holiday home on Holland on Sea.
The cheque to Imperial Cancer Research was the trust's biggest cheque yet.
Already it has handed over £25,000 to the Rhys Daniels Trust and £2,500 to the Brentwood and District Talking Newspaper.
