A man has been bound over to keep the peace, following a series of foolish Halloween pranks.
Steven Purdy, 29, of Cedar Walk, Canewdon, joined a group of people who were throwing eggs and letting off fireworks, after leaving a local pub.
He was bound over to keep the peace for one year in the sum of £250 at Southend Magistrates' Court.
Prosecutor Diane Gordon-Bassett said the incident took place in Sycamore Way, Canewdon.
Laurence Jervis, mitigating, said: "Mr Purdy was not originally part of the group."
