The new headteacher at the Harwich School has taken up her post.
Jacky Froggatt took over the reins at the secondary school in Hall Lane, Dovercourt, and is looking to build on the improvements made there in the past few years.
It is the first time Miss Froggatt has taken over a headship but she is excited about the challenge. One of her plans is to create stronger links between the school and the community.
Miss Froggatt is trained in English language and literature and has also taught psychology.
She has carried out voluntary work and was a counsellor for ten years with the National Association of Victim Support Schemes.
