An anonymous businessman has offered a £1,000 reward to catch and convict armed robbers who attacked staff at a social club.
The two balaclava-clad men raided the Great Wakering Rovers Social Club in the early hours of Sunday, February 10.
They then brutally assaulted club members Norman 'Nobby' Johnson and Len Lloyd at the club in Little Wakering Lane before stealing cash.
Mr Johnson, 56, who was left with a fractured skull, said: "I know other people have put up rewards as well and it just proves how much the club means to the community."
Anyone with information on the attack should call Rayleigh CID on 01268 775533 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
