Southend Hospital's Building Blocks appeal received a boost of more than £40,000, thanks to the Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay.
The proceeds came flooding in from last year's Foulness Bike Ride where thousands of fundraisers took part.
Essex MacMillan Cancer relief also received £5,685 raised by the Rotary Club at a summer golf day.
