A mother has claimed a fabric deodoriser has left her two-year-old daughter with burns to her legs and feet.
Sore point -- Cherie Grant believes a deodoriser spray was the cause of burns on her daughter Leah's legs and feet. Picture: TERENCE BUNCH 7CCSX2
Cherie Grant, of Kathleen Ferrier Crescent, Laindon, used the Febreze spray around the house one night while her daughter was in bed.
Her daughter Leah is now having problems walking because the soles of her feet are sore. Miss Grant is worried the marks on Leah's legs will scar.
Miss Grant is convinced Febreze was responsible although manufacturer Proctor and Gamble, which is investigating, is certain the product is "non-irritating".
A spokeswoman for Proctor and Gamble said: "We are following this matter up with Miss Grant and can confirm we would not expect Febreze to cause such a reaction."
