A brute who beat up his elderly father over a property dispute was today starting a 12-month jail sentence.
David Collison, 42, of Avenue Road, Westcliff, pleaded guilty to causing his father actual bodily harm.
He has no previous convictions. He punched, kicked and throttled his 69-year-old father Anthony, Basildon Crown Court was told.
