Canvey Island will be hoping to put more points between themselves and fellow Ryman Premier League title challengers Gravesend this evening.
Tonight the islanders host second-from-bottom Croydon, while their Kent challengers face a tricky task in hosting Aldershot, who are unbeaten since assistant Stuart Cash took over at the helm from long-serving George Borg, now coach at Billericay.
Gulls moved two points clear of Gravesend, who have two games in hand, at the top of the Premier League on Saturday with a 3-0 win at Boreham Wood.
Canvey expect to have a full squad to choose from this evening and home fans will get their chance to see on loan Ipswich midfielder Ashley Nicholls, who scored one and made one on his debut on Saturday, make his first home appearance.
