In division Five of the Chelmsford & District Darts League the Bird in Hand won their first game of the season beating United Brethren 8-7.
With leaders Two Saxons not playing, second in the table Three Stars got back to winning ways with a 9-6 victory over fifth placed Black Bull.
Three Elms also hit the winning trail, after a no-result last week, with a 10-5 success at Longmeads.
Fourth placed Kings Arms secured an 11-4 success over Red Beret 'B' and Tim Sadd hit his second '180' to help the Arms to victory.
Division Four leaders White Bear were involved in a close encounter away to third placed Red Beret 'C' before narrowly winning 8-7.
St Anne's Castle had an easier game, helped by Stan Cox's 107 shoot out, in their 10-5 win over Woolpack.
Queen's Head and Swan 'B' both won their games with 8-7 and 9-6 wins over Chelmsford Social Club 'A' and Chelmsford RBL respectively.
In Division Three with Chelmer Village Ass failing to beat Sir Evelyn Wood (8-7 winners) 'top dogs' Chelmsford Social Club 'B' opened up a two point lead after their 9-6 victory at Orange Tree 'B'.
Chequers 'A' beat visitors Queen's Head 9-6 despite Joe Dennis shooting out on 114 for the Queen's Head.
Red Lion Boreham had a convincing 10-5 win at home to Orange Tree 'A'.
Division Two leaders Fox & Hound fell to only their second defeat of the season losing 8-7 at Ramsden Heath's Nag's head.
Fellow title challengers Horse & Groom failed to take advantage losing 9-6 at home to Marsham Arms.
In Division One, Baddow Recreation returned to the fray with a steady 9-5 win over basement dwellers Star & Garter.
Second placed Chequers 'B' were away to the team immediately below them, Red Beret 'A', and a close game saw the Beret win 8-6.
Swan 'A' moved into fourth place after their 8-6 win over Moulsham.
