Youngsters at the Warren Primary School in Gilbert Road on the Chafford Hundred Estate celebrated reaching 100 days into the academic year with a day of activities to do with the number 100.

Normal lessons were cancelled and the children were put into groups with their brothers and sisters and pupils from other classes.

Each classroom was set up with a different activity ranging from from building paper towers capable of holding 100 Smarties and throwing 100 balls into a target to decorating cookies and matching 100 flags with their countries.

Teacher Jackie Brady said: "The idea for 100 days came about from when the school first opened five years and we celebrated the first 100 days of the school's life. The tradition has continued."
