Young people in Southend have two new youth MPs representing them in the UK Youth Parliament.
Sarah Fuller, 17, and Anish Amiani, 15, were voted for by youngsters at the UK Youth Parliament elections held at Focus Youth House, Southend.
Louise Norman, David Morgan, Richard Ladner and Jazz Caruana were elected as their deputies. Sarah and Anish will also become members of the Southend Youth Council.
The UK Youth Parliament is a national initiative backed by all the main political parties and aims to encourage young people aged between 11 and 18 to get involved in citizenship and democracy.
The Southend elections took place on February 2, with young people from local schools and youth groups.
