Ipswich Town keeper James Pullen - currently on loan at Blackpool - has spoken of his uncertain future after the end of this season.

The former Heybridge Swifts shotstopper has been with the Tangerines for most of this campaign, and was on the bench for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Colchester United.

However, his deal expires at the end of the season and Pullen said: "I still have two more years remaining on my contract at Portman Road.

"As things stand at this moment I would anticipate reporting there for pre-season training.

"It wouldn't be a major surprise if I was to be loaned out again at some stage, though.

"There are five keepers on their books at the moment and competition for places is probably more intense than anywhere in the country.

"I've enjoyed my time with Blackpool and benefited from my first-team experience. I'll keep an open mind about the long-term future."

Pullen has a chance of playing in the LDV Van Trophy final after Blackpool reached the Millennium Stadium by beating Huddersfield.

Mark Venus has been told by a specialist that his knee is not seriously damaged. The defender has missed full-training because of the injury.

Keeper Keith Branagan has seen a specialist about his shoulder injury but does not need an operation.

Town boss George Burley has revealed that Ipswich have applied to enter the InterToto Cup at the third round stage.

Success in the competition would result in his team qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
