Motorists escaped without serious injuries from this road smash in South Ockendon.

The accident happened in Daiglen Drive at around noon yesterday just a few hundred yards from the local police station.
Firefighters from Grays also went to the scene and had to cut victims from the wreckage of their cars. Nobody is thought to have been seriously hurt in the crash.
