Internet shopping provided a silver lining for a Braintree woman who had her car stolen.
Alyssa Jarvis receiving her Sainsbury's prize
Alyssa Jarvis, of Bradford Street, Braintree, decided to do her food shopping on the internet for the first time after her Ford Scorpio was stolen from near her home.
Mother-of-two Mrs Jarvis, 29, found it more difficult to get to the supermarket during the day without her car, so she logged on to Sainsbury's website to order her groceries.
Little did she know it would mean she would end up with a prize for being the first to get a home delivery from the supermarket's new service in Braintree.
As the first customer of the Sainsbury's To You service, she was presented with champagne and flowers at her home.
Mrs Jarvis said: "I was really shocked when I found out I was the first customer but I was really pleased."
