Weather is affecting the fishing at Ramsden's Crowsheath Fishery.

On the carp lake, the wind swung around and came from the north-north-east and the fish were harder to catch.

The fish hate the high pressure and frosty nights, notoriously a bad combination for most waters.

The wind this weekend is due to come from the west again and with it should bring the return of runs for anglers across the county. Crowsheath will be one of them.

Although the fish in the course lake were affected by the change in weather, they couldn't be put off completly due to the high density of fish in the lake.

Anglers caught plenty of roach, perch and ide on red maggots. Static baits are not advised at the moment with the maggots proving effective. Echo readers can still take advantage of the mid-week price reductions with all fishing being reduced by half Monday to Friday at 6pm.

Anglers can call Gary Norton on 01702 200847 for where to fish and tactics of fishing Crowsheath.
