Troopr from Colchester based 2 Para will feature in a Panorama documentary about Afghanistan.
The film crew feature the work of D company of 2 Para, led by Major Mark Christie and follows patrols in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
They spoke to platoon commanders 'Oz' Muhammed, Dave Caskey and Sam McGrath as well as families who have been displaced by the conflict in Afghanistan.
Producer David Harrison said: "The devastation of south west Kabul, where D company are staying in a derelict Taliban barracks, is absolutely stark. Going out on patrols, you get a real sense of tension."
Panorama with the Paras into the Afghan minefield: Sunday on BBC1 at 10.15pm.
