A man who had visited a shop in Westcliff was later seen leaving the shop having stolen clocks from a store room.
The burglary took place around 2.45pm on Thursday when a man was seen leaving the back of the shop, Presence, in Hamlet Court Road, having taken two mantelpiece clocks, together worth £125.
The man was white, of medium build, around 30 to 35-years-old. He was 6ft 4ins tall with dark brown hair in a centre parting and a short fringe with a receding hairline.
He wore a blue jacket, dark trousers and white trainers. He had a large head with marks on the right side of his neck.
