Police have warned about the growing problem of fly-tipping after suspected asbestos was found dumped at a farm.
About ten large sheets, thought to be asbestos, were dumped in two batches at Great Oakley Hall Farm, in Harwich Road.
Sgt Peter Wood, of Harwich police, said: "We need to find the person who is responsible for this as it involves the health of the whole community."
PC Bryan Chittick, community policing officer for the village, said the sheeting, which looks like corrugated iron, was thought to be a type of asbestos fibre.
He added it was dumped on a part of the farm which is a public footpath and blocks the entrance to the site.
Tendring Council has been contacted to safely remove the rubbish.
