Junior anglers have been making their mark at Basildon's Gloucester Park lake.

Eleven-year-old Reggie Buisson netted a superb 20lb common carp. Reggie was fishing the cockle bank with his father when he hooked the big carp on quivertip fed sweetcorn.

Chloe Blackburn, 10, also snared a big carp at Gloucester Park. Fishing the eastern end of the big bay she tempted a fish of 10lb 2oz on float fished luncheon meat.

And 12-year-old Dean Page fished the Gloucester Park canal stretch to take a double figure common carp during an evening session on quivertip and sweetcorn.

Senior anglers have also been getting their fair share of the carp, with Geoff Lanham continuing his recent run of success.

Geoff's latest session saw him land five double figure carp to a best of 18lb during an evening stint. The fish came from the cockle bank and fell to bread baits.

Amongst the other carp taken at Gloucester Park this week were a common of 17lb 10oz for Martin Barry, and a fish of 16lb for Clive Sharp.
