A day of fun was marred when violence broke out in Clacton.
More than 80,000 people attended the town's 11th air show on Thursday and Friday.
But violence flared on Friday night as two people were attacked in separate incidents and there were a number of minor disturbances.
Just after 6pm, a 53-year-old man was punched in the face in Jackson Road after refusing to give his attacker a cigarette.
And a 24-year-old woman from Brightlingsea was assaulted in the Queens Arms, Old Road, at 11.30pm and was taken to Colchester General Hospital after sustaining facial injuries. She was released after treatment.
A 19-year-old, arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, was released on police bail.
Insp John Hayter, of Clacton police, said there had been a number of minor disturbances.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incidents. Anyone with information about the attacks should call Clacton police on 01255 221312
