A new money clinic to prevent people getting into debt has been launched by Billericay's CAB this week.
The new initiative called Money Sense aims to help people control their finances, before it spirals into debt.
Coordinator of the project, Barry Wickerson, said: "We are encouraging people to think about their financial problems before they get into severe debt. People tend to come to us, or seek advice after they get into debt, but this initiative aims to help people before they get into this situation."
The Money Sense clinics are being held on Thursdays from 2 to 4pm at the Billericay CAB, based at Billericay Library in the High Street. For further information call 01277 651751.
