Police are appealing for help after an elderly woman's handbag was snatched from her shopping trolley.
The 77-year-old woman was in Savacentre, in Eastgate, on Monday at around 1pm when her bag containing her purse, pension book, house keys and credit cards was snatched. The purse contained around £120.
Anyone with information on the crime is urged to contact Basildon police on 01268 532212.
