Kirsty Ayre could bounce before she could walk - and six years on, she is a trampolining champ.
The Rayne youngster's mum and coach Sarah Ayre, 34, of Medley Road, Rayne, also competed at the British Trampolining Association London regional finals in West London and came second in her age group.
Champion - Kirsty Ayre
"Kirsty has been around a trampoline since she was two weeks old and had her first bounce when she was two months. She learned to walk around a trampoline," said Mrs Ayre, a sports and fitness coach at Dunmow Sports Centre.
The bouncing six-year-old, Rayne Primary School pupil beat off 16 other competitors in the set routine class with her technical skills.
Her mum, who has just qualified as a gymnastics coach, was beaten into second place by a 20-year-old.
Mrs Ayre's interest in the sport started at a youth club when she was 13 and Kirsty looks set to follow the family's high jumping tradition
