People living in what they say is a dangerous street are campaigning for a crossing after a woman pedestrian was paralysed following a car accident.
They have raised fears about the safety elderly people and schoolchildren attempting to cross Long Road, in Canvey.
Their action follows an accident three years ago when a resident from Abbeyfield House, in Long Road, was knocked down by a car.
