Lucy Mealing has lost her chance to be Mrs Right.

Lucy, of Bertram Avenue, Little Clacton, was not chosen to stay in the house on Mr Right, the ITV dating show, and was given her marching orders.

She had made it into the last five but in the end Lance Gerrard-Wright who is in search of that one elusive lady to steal his heart decided she was not quite the one for him.

Lucy was selected as one of the final 15 girls three weeks ago and made it right down to the last five.

But the viewers yet again voted for Nicola to stay, Masee chose to leave and Lance decided it was Lucy who he would not be inviting to hang around for another week.

Jackie Church, Lucy's best friend, said she was not too disappointed to be leaving the show.

She said: "There's no television or music, they can use the internet for one hour a day and are allowed a limited amount of phone calls each week. She will be glad to get back to see the family and friends."

Lucy, 28, a former pupil at Colbayns High School, lives with her parents.

Lucy will be returning to her job as as a senior accounts executive with an advertising agency in London.
