Talented musicians from Billericay are celebrating following a outstanding performance at this year's Southend Music Festival.

Eight cellists, who are all taught at a music school in Chantry Way, were given a pat on the back after scooping a gold medal at the festival.
The group, all of whom are aged under 14, spent extra time rehearsing in preparation for the day and teacher, Sally Goodfellow, was thrilled with the result.
She said: "I am very proud of all my students."
