A new primary school for children in Ramsey and Little Oakley is expected to be approved this week
Plans for Two Village Primary School are due to go before Essex County Council on Friday.
The 210-place school would be based at Lodge Field, off Mayes Lane, Little Oakley.
It is allocated as green wedge land, but councillors are expected to say that the need for a new school justifies its development.
Consultations with English Nature show that special surveys will need to be carried out to monitor wildlife and attention must be paid to hedgerows and a pond there.
