Police have identified the first convicted criminal who will be splashed on billboards across Brentwood as part of a name and shame campaign.
Gary Ellis, 27, from The Meads, Ingatestone, was jailed for six months for burglary at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.
Brentwood police hope the posters will deter persistent offenders against committing crime in the area in the first scheme of its kind in Essex.
