A pair of tiny kittens were found abandoned among rubbish at a tip in freezing conditions.
The two young cats, about eight weeks old, were found by a man at Dovercourt's civic amenity site in West End Lane.

He took them to Harwich Police Station at 4.30pm on Wednesday and rescue workers collected them shortly afterwards.
Carole Whiting, of Crescent Cat Rescue in Thorpe, said: "They are not in a very good condition. They are very thin indeed.
"It was absolutely freezing, so they also stand a high chance of catching pneumonia," she said.
"Words can't really convey how people could do this and just before Christmas.
She said the two kittens had a long road to recovery before they could be finally rehoused.
