Karl Duguid was celebrating today after he was named in the Colchester United squad for the first time in four months.
Player-of-the-year Duguid could be set for a return to action against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road tomorrow.
And if the play-anywhere utility man gets the nod from U's boss Steve Whitton it will be his first taste of Division Two football since he suffered a serious ankle injury at Tranmere in only the second game of the season.
"It's great to be back," said Duguid as he looked forward to the trip.
"But I'd be very surprised if I started the game. I'd just love to be involved.
"Realistically I still need more games under my belt. I've only had 160 minutes of reserve team football since I've been back.
"I've never been out injured so long before and it's been a different experience.
"I was talking to myself like a real nutter training all alone sometimes."
Manager Steve Whitton achoed Duguid's words and said: "It's great to have him back."
