This game between two relegation candidates might have been a nightmare for managers from a defensive point of view, but it provided plenty of entertainment to warm the fans.
Darren Bethell gave the visitors the lead, but Steve Harrison's header from Lee Cove's cross levelled.
Ex-Billericay and Canvey man Mark Barry put Rocks in the driving seat at half-time with a 30-yard effort.
Bethell made it 2-2 after 67 minutes and Wivenhoe looked set for all three points when Ben Fuller netted.
However, Barry got his second for the Rookery Hill hosts to share the spoils.
