Police hunting two men involved in an accosting incident have renewed their appeal for witnesses.
Two women, one aged 23 and the other 27, were walking home when a black sports car stopped alongside them in Arterial Road, Purfleet.
Two men in the car tried to make the women get inside and became abusive and aggressive when they refused.
Four men who were passing went to the women's aid and escorted them to Target Taxis in Aveley.
Police are particularly keen to hear from members of this group.
Det Con Kevin Shannon said: "I believe this group of men could help us to identify the men responsible for this cowardly act."
The two men in the car were black, slimly built and wearing designer clothes.
