Colchester ended the year with their 29th successive league victory.

The All Blacks opened the scoring in the ninth minute through winger Matt Harwood who raced over the line. Dan Howson kicked the conversion.

A few minutes later, Harwood scored for Colchester - his second try.

Wanstead then stole a Colchester line-out, and centre Ryan Kaye scored. Stuart Smith then added the conversion.

Colchester won a line-out in the opposition's 22 and Duder scored under the posts. Howson added the conversion.

James Gee was on the scorecard next with a 35-yard drop goal.

From the restart Colchester spun the ball wide and winger Ed Merry sprinted 50 yards and passed to Dan Howson who scored.

Colchester scored again within two minutes of the restart through captain James Merry. Howson converted.

Wanstead hit back through number eight Ben Kern, but straight away Duder scored his second try.

The All Black's defence held up well until the second minute of injury-time when Wanstead scrum-half Paul Cristofoli scored a try.
