Arena Essex have signed Dutch long-course ace Maik Groen to their 2003 and squad.
Meanwhile popular Aussie Lee Herne is due to return on a permanent basis after a successful loan from Trelawny.
Groen was an intended signing last season, but the club had problems with the Dutch authorities.
But now promoter Ronnie Russell is expecting big things from the flying Dutchman.
"He's being eased in to our side at the bottom end but I'd be disappointed if he's not pushing for a top five place once he's settled," he said.
Shaun Tacey is expected to fill the remaining place in the squad for next summer's season.
