Table-topping Westcliff kept up their unbeaten run after coming from behind to complete the double over Dagenham.

The hosts drew first blood when their kicker slotted a penalty goal before Westcliff backsides took over.

The skipper, James Argentieri got his team back on track with a try, closely followed by one from Simon Jones.

Livewire scrum-half Mike Pitt was on to a defender quickly to charge down a kick and Martin Wiley was on hand to claim the ball and score the third try.

Dagenham reduced the defecit with a try of their own, but Westcliff went back on to the attack as Lewis Harvey dodged the cover and dotted down the try and then Mike Pitt robbed Dagenham of the ball and scored.

Concentration slipped a bit then and Westcliff were caught out of position for the home side to nick a converted score.

But Simon Jones and Pat Redding worked the ball for Redding to score then winger Vap Chaturvedi won a penalty try which he converted.

Press spokesman Geoff Sawyer said: "Unbeaten and at the top of the league we are there to be shot down but the boys have taken all that has been thrown at them so far and are confident they can do it again."
