Witham job centre is closing for refurbishment.
The Newland Street centre will shut next Monday prior to reopening as an upgraded Jobcentre Plus office on February 10.
The changes are part of a national Employment Service programme to combine the job-filling role of job centres with benefits facilities and advice currently offered at social security offices.
Manager Laurrie Deeks apologised for any inconvenience caused while the centre was closed but said a mobile Jobcentre would park near Superdrug in The Grove Shopping Centre on January 16, 17, 23 and 24, between 10am and 3pm.
