A booming Southend hotel is planning to acquire a nearby former care home as an annexe giving it another six rooms.
The Ilfracombe House Hotel, in Wilson Road, already has 20 rooms which are all en suite.
A report to Southend Council's development control committee by technical services director David Watts said some internal alterations would be needed to the new building, also in Wilson Road.
Members of the committee will be recommended to approve the scheme.
