A Chelmsford mother, whose 12-year-old son has ADHD, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, is appealing for other parents in a similar situation to contact her.
Fiona Hogg from Great Baddow said that she has faced enormous difficulties in obtaining help for her son Ashley and for the whole family to cope with his condition.
Mrs Hogg said, "It really is a struggle and I would like to hear from other families who have similar problems to see if they have managed to obtain any support.
"Ashley is labelled an aggressive child by many people but he has a real condition and does need help. As well as having ADHD he also has ODD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and is dyslexic."
Anyone who is having to cope with a similar situation can contact Mrs Hogg on 01245 356398.
