The Thameside Family History Group is due to meet on Friday at Grays Adult Education Centre, in Richmond Road.
Speaker Peter Park will give members an insight into the research of bigamy during his illustrated talk entitled In Good Faith and Truthful Ignorance.
Doors open at 7pm and Mr Park's lecture will begin at 8pm.
Visitors are welcome, with entry costing £1, including light refreshments.
