A former youth leader in Marks Tey has died from cancer, aged 57.
Alison Robson returned to her native Northumberland eight years ago, having lived the previous 20 years in Colchester.
Mrs Robson was one of the village's Brownie leaders from 1981 until her move, and was a founder member of the Bows 'n' Belles clog dancing team in Aldham.
She also worked at Bypass Nurseries, Marks Tey.
Her widower Paul Robson said: "She will be remembered with great affection by her family and friends in Northumberland, and, I hope, by many of your readers in Essex."
