Police are working to trace burglars who stole a 91-year-old woman's £1,300 savings.
The thieves made off with the cash after breaking into her house in Leslie Close, Leigh, while she slept upstairs.
They removed a glass panel from the roof of a lean-to building to get into the property.
After searching the house, they stole £1,300 in cash and a savings book from the woman's handbag, which had been left on the sofa in the sitting room.
They let themselves out though the front door.
Anyone with information about the burglary, which happened on Monday between 8pm and 9.50pm, should contact police on 01702 431212.
