An 87th minute goal has set Grays up for two games in the space of four days against Essex rivals Canvey island.
Gulls go to Gray Rec on Saturday in the Ryman Premier and then visit Park Lane next Tuesday for a Bryco Cup quarter-final.
Grays, managed by former Canvey faviourite Mark Stimson and with three other former Island favourites in their squad in the shape of Adam Miller, Wayne Vaughan and Peter Smith, beat Aylesbury at home last night in the fourth round of the Bryco.
